Sloane was such a gentle guiding force that took us through the process. He is just such a good person. He is honest, he is reliable, he is always contactable, he makes time nearly ever day to meet with you for any discussion you feel you need to have, he returns phone calls, he is a most capable organiser. If he says the plasterers will be here on Tuesday, the electrician Thursday and the plumber Friday week, guess what? It happens! He works with you to ensure that you get the house that you wanted (we would like a nib wall instead of a full height wall – no problem etc.
And the build itself? Sloane’s motto is “Come Home to Quality”, and Sloane has delivered on that motto.
When we started the build many people said “Good luck with that”. Simply, if Sloane Porth is your builder you won’t need “Good Luck”. Instead you will get a quality house from a very capable builder and project manager. And from an honest, decent, obliging, quality person.
What a great well built home I have just purchased, after inspecting several exhibition homes with no suitable result my daughter found our Sloane home and insisted I view, reluctantly I succumbed and was immediately impressed with the quality of the build, the design is excellent with sensible features you don’t get with others. We decided to build with Sloane Homes after meeting with Sloane. We found Sloane Homes on line and didn’t know Sloane before building. At our first meeting we found Sloane to be friendly, open and flexible with our ideas. We had discussions with the main project builders, but went ahead with Sloane.
Very glad we did. Our house was completed in 6 months and to a very high standard of workmanship. Sloane was on site every working day, either working or supervising the work of the trades. We made a number of small changes along the way and Sloane was always patiently ready to accommodate us.

Right from the get go he was a good communicator, always followed through and easy to work with. I engaged Sloane Homes to build a custom design, multiunit townhouse project consisting of three units for me in 2021. Despite supply chain challages in the marketplace and Covid related lockdowns Sloane managed to power through without any major issues when other builders struggled. I purchased a newly built duplex in the East Lake Macquarie region. Sloane, as the builder for the project, has been very responsive and professional in my dealings with him post-purchase. I had the pleasure of working with Sloane and his team to build my dream home. Never having built a house before, I had no idea what was involved and how many choices I had to make, it can be very over whelming at times, but Sloane made the whole process as easy as possible from start to finish. I always found Sloane to be honest and easy to work with, he is always very patient (even when I changed my mind a dozen times about something) and makes himself available to talk or answer questions about the progress of the build. Nothing is too much trouble, even moving interior walls because I decided a mud room would look pretty or I need more storage. Sloane has an awesome team of people he works with that spent many hours with me choosing just the right tiles, colour scheme and fixtures. My house was built to a very high standard and I am so happy with the final result. I can highly recommend Sloane Homes to build your dream home too. (not convinced come and see mine 😊 )
We recently built a custom design with Sloane and would definitely recommend. Inclusions and build quality are of a much higher standard than if you went with a project home builder and allowances he makes in the initial quotation are actually sufficient to get good quality fixtures and appliances! He is also very reasonable with any upgrades and does his best to keep costs down, recommending alternatives etc. Nothing is ever a problem, we made some minor changes during the build without any fuss & he even went and sourced a specific rangehood I wanted that was not available through his supplier. Overall we have a beautiful quality built home and could not be happier.
